Short answer is by countering it with small money. Simply put, your money.
Ever wanted to buy a politician. Well, you can’t. And you should be able to. But that doesn’t stop people and corporations with deep pockets from trying. The unfortunate reality is, sometimes they succeed. The best way to prevent that is by removing the temptation.
small donations provide the ability for candidates to get the word out and make things happen without feeling obligated to take the easy road go after the big money by making promises they shouldn’t keep.
District 23 covers over 78,000 miles and is made up of over 51,000 people. If ever one of them gave $5 to the candidate of their choice that would make $255,000 that they could use to keep their promises to you.
The unfortunate reality is it takes money to run for office. Money for yard signs, media postings, mailers, and town halls. Just the cost of gas to get around in a district as large as 23 can be substantial
You may not be able to buy a politician, and I am definitely not for sale. But with your help I can put up a fight against those that are.
It is with your donations that we get the word out about more than just me. Without your support we would not be able to send out even the simple things like mailers on topics that concern you and our community. It is through your support that we can combat misinformation and inform the people around you of what is really going on. Mailers alone cost as much as $2.50 each. And with as many as 50 thousand people in just this district alone, it adds up fast. That $125,000.oo fast if we wanted to reach everyone, ven the smallest of donations can go a long way.
And please let me know if you have the time to volunteer. There is nothing more important than public involvement.
The primary goal of any campaign is to get the word out. You can help by simply talking to anyone about what we are trying to accomplish here. How by getting Joe Fuller elected there will be a voice for reason and common sense. A voice that doesn’t just follow party lines.
Running for any political office is an extremely time-consuming endeavor. Volunteering for things like door knocking, mailings, event staff, or maybe you have a skill like design work or media impact. Any time or skill that you can offer frees up more time for me to spend listening and learning from the great people in this district. Send me and email joefuller903@gmail.com if you want to help.
It is an unfortunate truth that doing just about anything in this world takes money. Running for public office is no different. Any contribution helps. Just go to https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/thank-you-for-your-support-21and give what you can there.
Or you can simply mail your contribution to P.O. Box 558 Kuna ID 83634
Anyone can go to https://sunshine.voteidaho.gov and see what any candidate, including me, has available to them. There you can find out where their funds are coming from and what it is spent on. Sometimes it’s staggering the difference.
